Crémant de France

A trade-only house for méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine — hand-harvested, fermented a second time in the bottle, and drawn from across France's eight Crémant appellations. Alongside it, a short and changing list of whites and reds, chosen from the same growers.

01 — The House

A house built on careful selection

Crémant de France imports and distributes sparkling wine made under the strict conditions of French AOC law — hand-picked grapes, méthode traditionnelle, no shortcuts permitted by the decree or taken by us. We work directly with a small number of growers in each of France's Crémant-producing regions, chosen for how they farm and how they disgorge, not for how much they can supply.

Alongside the Crémant list sits a much smaller selection of still wines — a handful of whites and reds, personally tasted and chosen from the same estates. We would rather list eight bottles we can stand behind than eighty we can't.

02 — Sourcing

Eight appellations, one method

Every AOC Crémant decree requires the same discipline: fruit picked by hand, a secondary fermentation in the bottle that made it, and a minimum time resting on its lees before disgorgement. What changes, region to region, is the grape and the ground.

Alsace · 01

Alsace

Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Pinot Gris — the largest Crémant appellation by volume, and often the most precise.

Bourgogne · 02

Bourgogne

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir off Burgundian limestone; structured, mineral, built to age a little.

Loire · 03

Loire

Chenin Blanc from Anjou, Saumur and Touraine — chalky, high-acid, the classic aperitif style.

Bordeaux · 04

Bordeaux

Sémillon and Cabernet Franc, rarely seen outside the region — small production, harder to source.

Die · 05

Die

Clairette and Muscat from the Drôme valley, one of France's oldest sparkling traditions.

Jura · 06

Jura

Chardonnay and Savagnin, carrying the region's particular oxidative character.

Limoux · 07

Limoux

Chardonnay, Chenin and Mauzac — the appellation credited with sparkling wine's earliest recorded origins.

Savoie · 08

Savoie

Jacquère and Altesse from Alpine vineyards — light, saline, distinctly high-altitude.

03 — The Selection

Crémant first. A little else, chosen the same way.

The list is deliberately short, and reviewed vintage by vintage rather than left to run on autopilot.

Crémant

The core of the list. All eight AOC regions represented where the vintage allows, hand-harvested and disgorged to order in small parcels.

The signature range

Whites

A short, changing selection of still whites from the same growers and the same regions — never more than the vintage gives us.

Personally selected

Reds

A handful of reds, chosen for structure and a clear sense of place rather than for volume.

04 — Standards

What we won't compromise on

These aren't marketing language — they're the conditions every wine on our list has to meet before it's offered to the trade.

05 — Trade

By allocation, to the trade

We supply restaurants, hotels, independent wine merchants and private members' clubs across the UK. Accounts are opened by application and wines are offered by allocation as each vintage is disgorged — this is not a standing-stock list.
